Audit
An audit is a systematic and independent procedure for evaluating projects, processes or systems to ensure compliance with standards, regulations and guidelines. It identifies opportunities for improvement and ensures the quality and integrity of the work.
Audits are often carried out by one or a few people, but require a team of experts to independently assess various aspects. A distinction can be made between project management audits and project audits. Project management audits are special project audits that focus on the project management processes.
💡 Tip from practice: Audits offer a neutral view of processes and procedures from the outside. They enable an unbiased assessment by a neutral person.
