Capability Maturity Model
The Capability Maturity Model (CMM) and the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) are models for evaluating and improving process maturity (maturity models). They help to systematically develop and optimize processes in order to increase quality and efficiency.
The models provide a clear framework for the step-by-step improvement of processes in organizations and enable a comparison of process maturity between different companies. By applying the models, the quality of products and services can be improved, e.g. by increasing efficiency, customer satisfaction and minimizing risk.
