Function Point

Function Point is a method of measuring the functionality of a software project. It evaluates the scope of a project based on the number and complexity of the functions provided by the system. If User Stories (US) are to be evaluated instead of individual functions, this is done in a very similar way with Story Points.

Effort: medium Difficulty: medium Effectiveness: long

The function point analysis for cost estimation and project planning is carried out in a team, as it requires collaboration between software developers, analysts and project managers.

💡 Tip from practice: Use standardized analysis methods and tools to ensure accuracy and consistency.
