Framing
Framing and reframing are used to reshape perspectives and contexts in order to view and understand problems, situations or decisions differently and to develop new approaches to solutions. They promote creative thinking and problem solving by changing perspectives. Framing is the conscious process of embedding events and topics in interpretative grids and narrative patterns. Information is selected and processed in a structured way.
Framing and reframing can be carried out individually or in a team. Particularly useful in the problem-solving and decision-making phase.
💡 Tip from practice: Use techniques such as brainstorming (BS), brainwriting (BW) or mind mapping (MM) to develop different perspectives.
